Frequently asked questions
📃What is Mescaline?
3,4,5-Trimethoxyphenethylamine (also known as mescaline) is a naturally-occurring classical psychedelic substance of the phenethylamine class. It occurs naturally in the peyote cactus (Lophophora williamsii), San Pedro cactus, Peruvian Torch cactus as well as the Cactaceae plant and the Fabaceae bean families. It grows wild in the Southwestern United States and in Northern Mexico, and has been used as an intimate component of a number of religious traditions amongst the native Indians of these areas.. It is one of the oldest known hallucinogens and the parent compound of the psychedelic phenethylamines, one of the two major subclasses of psychedelic compounds (along with tryptamines).
Mescaline was first isolated from peyote in 1897 by the German chemist Arthur Heffter. The ritual use of the peyote cactus has occurred for at least 5700 years by Native Americans in Mexico and other mescaline-containing cacti such as the San Pedro have a long history of use in the South American continent, from Peru to Ecuador. Mescaline is an important part of the life’s work of the American chemist Alexander Shulgin, who used it as a starting point for synthesizing dozens of novel psychedelic compounds that are documented in his 1991 book PiHKAL (“Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved”).
Subjective effects include open and closed-eye visuals, time distortion, enhanced introspection, conceptual thinking, euphoria, and ego loss. Mescaline is generally considered to be one of the most gentle, insightful, and euphoric psychedelics. It is known for placing greater emphasis on bodily and tactile sensations (sometimes compared to MDMA) than psychedelic tryptamines like psilocybin or DMT, which tend to have a more frenetic headspace and dynamic visual geometry. It is considered to be one of the best agents for psychedelic therapy due to its mellow, organic, yet complex character. Synthetic mescaline is highly sought after by connoisseurs and is typically produced in limited batches, owing to its low potency and relatively high production cost.
❓How do I consume Mescaline HCl?
The most common route of administration and the one we recommend is oral. Dissolve the powder in water, or whatever beverage you prefer. You can also mix it in with food, just don’t cook it.
Some people insufflate(snort) it but we don’t recommend this as it’s far more bio-available via oral consumption, it will also burn pretty bad.
🎭 Dosage & Experience
**NOTE: AT ANY DOSAGE MESCALINE MAY CAUSE NAUSEA ON THE COME UP**

NOTE: At any dose Mescaline can cause short term nausea on the come-up.*
| Duration | |
|---|---|
| Total | 8 – 14 hours |
| Onset | 45 – 90 minutes |
| Come up | 60 – 120 minutes |

Mescaline has been known to sometimes take upwards of 3 hours to take affect.
Stimulation: Mescaline is energetic, promoting activities like running, dancing, or climbing, unlike other psychedelics like psilocybin, which are more sedating.
Physical Sensations: Users often experience a strong body high with mescaline, described as a warm glow or intense euphoria, similar to MDMA. Other sensations include a sharp, cold tingling, akin to LSD, and a pins and needles feeling, which is compared to 2C-B.
Physical Effects: Mescaline induces physical euphoria reminiscent of other phenethylamines like MDA, but it can also cause nausea, especially in higher doses. Other effects include increased salivation, appetite suppression, enhanced bodily control, and increased stamina and libido.
Visual Effects: Mescaline produces detailed and smooth visual distortions, with enhanced colors and pattern recognition. The visual geometry can be intricate, structured, and often multicolored, resembling effects seen with LSD or 2C-B.
Cognitive Effects: Mescaline leads to enhanced analysis, creativity, and emotional and social connectivity. It can accelerate thoughts and enhance focus at lower doses. High doses may lead to memory suppression or ego dissolution, though these are less consistent.
Multi-sensory Effects: Rarely, users may experience synesthesia, particularly at higher doses.
Transpersonal Effects: Mescaline can enhance feelings of spirituality and existential realization, promoting a sense of unity and interconnectedness.

💊How do I microdose?
There isn’t much information regarding microdosing Mescaline. We recommend everyone to experiment with dosages and timings to appropriately assess what works best for them.
⌛What is the shelf life?
Mescaline Capsules: To maintain their potency, store them in a dark, cool place (<25°C). They will retain their effectiveness for approximately 2-3 years before potency diminishes.
🥘What are the ingredients?
🌄 Recommended Setting
The effects of Mescaline experience typically span a duration of 8-12 hours, and it’s important to prepare adequately to ensure a positive journey.
To create a favorable environment, we suggest consuming Mescaline in a familiar and comfortable setting.
Additionally, it is advisable to clear your schedule for at least 12 hours before engaging in a full-dose of Mescaline
⚠️ Do not take any Hallucinogenics if on SSRI's or SNRI's (Anti-Depressants)
DO NOT consume any Hallucinogenic Product while taking selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or other similar antidepressant medications. Here are a few key reasons why combining Hallucinogenics with SSRIs can be potentially risky:
- Serotonin syndrome risk: SSRIs work by increasing the levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter, in the brain. Psychedelics also interact with serotonin receptors. Combining the two can result in an excessive amount of serotonin in the brain, leading to a potentially dangerous condition known as serotonin syndrome. Symptoms of serotonin syndrome can include agitation, confusion, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, dilated pupils, and in severe cases, it can even be life-threatening.
- Reduced effectiveness of psychedelics: SSRIs may dampen the effects of psychedelics. SSRIs can modulate serotonin receptor activity and inhibit the psychedelic experience by blunting the intensity of hallucinations, altering mood, and reducing overall psychedelic effects. This can lead to a diminished or unpredictable response to psychedelics, which may result in a less meaningful or therapeutic experience.
